Order early for holiday gifts!

We are still waiting on paperwork but we hope to travel in December (or there is a possibility to leave late November) to get our little girl! We are so excited and can't wait! We are really hoping to be back before Christmas and that's not too far away.

We have more cookbooks available. These make great gifts! Check out a sample list of recipes in this book in a previous post below. We've gotten a lot of great reviews on the book so far. If you are thinking about it for a holiday gift remember that we will most likely be gone the first half of December and it will delay any orders we receive around that time. So order early!!

Christmas Frenzy!

Trying to think of that perfect gift for those people who are hard to shop for or who have everything? Check out this blog from My Cup Overfloweth!!  This family is helping other adoptive families advertise their fundraisers!!  You can visit My Cup Overfloweth to start your Christmas shopping! Buy gifts for your friends and family knowing you are helping to bring home a son or daughter to their family! What a great idea!! Keep checking back with them while new fundraisers are listed.

Cookbooks are in!!

We did a cookbook fundraiser for our first adoption and everyone loved it so much we decided to do one for our second adoption. This new book has 325 recipes and was mostly created by me (Amy) and my sister, Kristen.

This cookbook is a 3-ring binder and contains an envelope for extra recipes. We also added freezer instructions on the recipes we knew would freeze well and have frozen before.

Here are some highlights:

**  There is a Chicken Tamale Casserole that is super easy and so good.

**  If you love the Kettle Corn that you find at the fairs and festivals, the recipe is in the book and it is so easy and tastes just like the fair.

**  Also, if you have been to the Johnny Appleseed festival and love the Chicken and Dumpings like we do, now you can make it anytime. I (Amy) tried to duplicate the recipe and I have to say it's pretty good. My recipe has more chicken and carrots in it.

**  Lastly, if you love Ice Cream Sandwiches, there is a recipe that is better than anything you can get in the store. It's a thin soft chocolate cookie with homemade vanilla ice cream. It's really hard to eat just one!

**  Other recipes in the book:
Flaky Pumpkin Biscuits
Sticky Pecan Rolls
Chicken Enchiladas
Salmon Croquettes
Spicy Chicken Sandwiches
Foolproof Standing RibRoast
Charred Summer Veggies
Toasted Pita Salad
Pumpkin Pie Shake
Mocha Frappe
Dark Chocolate & Cherry Brownies
Coffee Ice Cream
Oatmeal Toffee Cookies

The books are $20.00 each. You can pay us directly or use the ChipIn on this page. This will allow you to pay by credit card using paypal. If you want it shipped to you, we'd be happy to do that, just add $2.75 for shipping. Otherwise, if you are in our area (Fort Wayne, IN) we can arrange to get it to you.

We have 340 cookbooks and our goal is to sell all of them by the end of the year! We don't have a referral yet but if it all goes smooth we might be able to travel to china this winter and we need to sell all the books by then.

Thank you all for your prayers and support!

A word about the contributors:

Thanks to Janette (aka Mom) for inputting recipes and putting in a few of your own! She is a proud grandma to four wonderful kids. And she cannot wait for the next one!

Thanks to my sister, Kristen Streepey, who loves to cook. She gathered, created and inputted a lot of these recipes. She is a stay-at-home-mom of two and an attorney. Among other work, she does readoptions for international adoptions for families who live in Indiana. She’d be happy to help you with yours! She also sells Tupperware on the side. Let me know if you’d like to purchase any or would like a catalog or if you'd like to contact her about a readoption.

I (Amy) put most of this book together. I also love to cook and bake. I’m glad that we were able to do another cookbook. I am the proud mother of one (soon to be two). I am a stay-at-home mom and enjoy watching my niece a few days a week. I also sell Shaklee on the side. My website is http://www.amymiller.myshaklee.com/. I love the products! Feel free to browse and I’d be happy to answer any questions. You can email me through the website.
